Sunday Salon 30  |  All These Things  | James William Murray

Saturation Point is pleased to present All These Things – a solo exhibition by British artist James William Murray. The exhibition brings together new diptych paintings on linen and poplar ply panels, and objects made of steel and brass.

All of the works on display are united by their proportions, which are based on a 1:2 rectangle and 1:2 cruciform – recurring motifs of Murray’s work over recent years. The exhibition marks Murray’s first foray into colour, albeit a minimal palette consisting of ‘chrome green’, ‘grey white’, and ‘signal black’, drawn from the RAL colour management system.

James William Murray is a British artist, born in 1988, who lives and works in Brighton, UK. His art has been exhibited internationally in solo, group and two-person shows, including prestigious galleries and museums in the Netherlands, Belgium, the USA and the UK. Murray has received recognition and funding for his work from various organisations, including a National Lottery Grant from Arts Council England and a Research Fellowship from the University of Brighton. In 2022 he was Artist in Residence at Rule Gallery in Marfa, Texas. His artworks are held in both public and private collections in the UK, USA and Europe.
